Hi, another site for print Braille books is seedlings.com. They also have
quite a range of books.

Kind regards
Nicky

From what I understand having the pictures available to her son is important.
The National Braille Press sells print/braille versions of many children's
books with all the illustrations intact. Their web site is:

  www.npb.org

As for the embosser. The links section of the Duxbury web site has links and
contact information for most major embosser manufacturers who can be contacted
for pricing. If a new embosser isn't going to be an option, it also can't hurt
to periodically check Craigslist or eBay to see if someone is selling a used
embosser.

  I hope that helps.

A friend of mine who has been deaf since age four is now going blind. She

purchasing an embosser, but I'm not sure they can afford one. I'm going to
lend her one of my Perkins Braillers, but is there a decent embosser out there
on the low end of the money scale?

Any and all ideas on things like this would be greatly appreciated. And
where do people get their braille books? She has a son that is in Kindergarten
and I'm brailling some books for her to read to him, but she's looking for
books that have been done professionally so that her son can still look at the
pictures.

    Thank you!
