Keren,

Here's one you could try.
Find what: ^13([0-9]{1,}).
Replace with: ^13(\1)

Subject: [duxuser] Question about Wildcards in MSWord

Hiya,
I've been playing around with the wildcards in MSWord.

When we scan maths the question numbers normally scan as the print, the
question number followed by a full stop.

To avoid the complication of the maths separations sign (dot 6) I
recommend
that the support staff who prepare maths for primary pupils place the
question number between parenthesis (dots 2,3,5,6). This also makes it
easier for young children to scan for the question numbers.

What would I have to write in the find and replace edit box to replace
all
numbers following a paragraph marker, followed by a full stop and space
by
the number enclosed between the parenthesis and remove the full stop?
I.e.
1. replaced by (1)
2. replaced by (2)
36. replaced by (36)
Take care, Keren
