Oh thanks George,

That is good news. Just that so much of the world is still a long way from 2007.

Do I understand this correctly then? I can open a Word document and send it to an embosser directly using SWIFT? This functionality is important to me. I have not had a working copy of DBT since before Swift so although this may appear obvious to modern users it is not to me.

Thanks.

Hi Dale,

SWIFT will warn you to save as 95-2003 .doc format.

Also, Word 2007 can be set up to default save this way too.

Legacy documents will remain as is unless you specifically
save otherwise.

George.

Is this true for using the SWIFT utility to emboss directly
from a word
document?

I am in the process of acquiring new equipment and new
Duxbury and need to
figure out what to do about MS-Office. When working with
Legacy documents
will Word 2007 save 2003 documents in their original format
by default
when/if they are modified?

Thanks.

Hi Michael,

At the present time, you need to continue to save as Word
96-2003 (.doc) format.

George.

Hi,
Can Duxbury import Word 2007 documents, or does it need to
be saved as a
Word 2003 document before importing.
Thanks,
Michael
