Okay. That's not how you use the Word template. If you open a "new" document by choosing file menu, new, and choosing BANA 2008 template, you get a whole bunch of styles on the menu bar. alt then tab across and arrow down. For Jaws to read the styles using control-shift S, you also To read the styles in the conventional Styles drop down with control-shift-S, try this: alt-V for view menu. T for toolbars. Turn off the formatting toolbar. That can sometimes be a problem if I remember right. Also, once you press control-shift-S, shift-tab and make sure you are choosing all styles in the conbo box. It might be set to only styles in use, or only user-defined styles. Jean
