Subject: [duxuser] Generating Table of Contents

Sorry, Phyllis,

Your original message seems to have got trapped in the system.

The single most important thing required when you wish to build a Table of
Contents is that appropriate Heading Styles have been used. Without these, the
process simply will not work.

Provided Heading 1, 2, 3 etc., Styles have been used throughout the document,
you should be able to build a Table of Contents complete with braille page
numbers quite easily.

However, if you require print page numbers, you will need to ensure that DBT's
Word Importer's "Print Page Breaks" is set to "Mark from Word Document".

George.

Hi, Listers,

I transcribed a document about Windows Live Mail, and I tried to generate a
table of contents. It didn't work out. Am I supposed to go through and put in
the page numbers as to where these topics are to be found or what? The last
thing in the dialog box says something about putting something above the style.
I don't remember exactly what it said. I don't understand it at all. Could
somebody help? Next time I'll know how to do this. I'm not doing that whole
document again because it's a hundred pages long in Braille.

Sincerely,

Phyllis Bono
