The easiest way to eliminate blank lines is to use the Numbered styles. This is
also the best way to handle blank lines when you know you don't want blank
lines in your Lists (in reference to your other message).

Certain styles generate blank lines before and/or after the block within the
style. In many cases I encounter situations where such blocks of text when
adjacent to blocks of text that are formatted with styles that generate such
delimiting blank lines, that there will end up being two or more blank lines
between the adjacent blocks of text. How can one eliminate the extra blank
lines?
