No bells. Sorry. I do have BookPort installed, and it fusses about sending .brf files from a list as well.
I believe I didn't upgrade the XP machine from 10.6, and it works fine.
Hi Anne, When did all this start? It sounds very like you still have some kind of file association problem. Do any of the following ring any bells with you. Voice diary, for example? George. Please run setup. OK I have run setup repeatedly, sometimes after uninstalling DBT and sometimes not, but it doesn't correct the error. If I alt-tab to another screen I get this one: Import File Template Set template as default Hide Template Show Hidden Templates Import Filter Duxbury coded text (MS-DOS) Duxbury coded braille Formatted text (Windows) Formatted text (Macintosh) Formatted text (MS-DOS) Formatted braille OK Cancel Selecting a template and pressing enter produces the following message: Error opening template file. OK and pressing 'ok' causes this one: DBT Cannot create TASK_WIN OK As you may guess, the stinkin' 'ok' doesn't seem very okay to me, but the Duxbury tech folks can't reproduce this one and I can't fix it. Discovering that .brf files were associated with adobe, I changed the association to DBT.exe. No joy. I have purchased DBT 11.1 and am anxious to install it. but it's going to make me massively crabby if that doesn't solve the problem, and I don't see why it should. Has anyone else in the whole wide world encountered this one? Has anyone else in the whole wide world been able to solve it? Do I uninstall DBT 10.7 before installing 11.1? will it make a difference? thanks, Ann * * * * This message is via list duxuser at freelists.org. * To unsubscribe, send a blank message with * unsubscribe * as the subject to <duxuser-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>.
