What I've done is:
(on 11.5x11 paper, which I will cut to 11 wide.)
characters per line = 37
binding margin in characters = 3
(Note: Total is 40 characters, which is what my Juliet wants.)
Then I cut 1/2 inch off the left side of the paper.

Subject: [duxuser] Composing an Interpoint Document with Short Lines
Hi. I really hope someone can assist me here. I want to create an
interpoint document using 18-cell lines. I would use standard paper and
cut it down to size. My question is, how do I set up the document so that
both sides of the interpoint page use the same area of the paper, as
opposed to both sides lining up with the lefthand margin? Any advice on
this would be very much appreciated.
