This sound to me like you may have run into some of the periodic outages that
David Holladay was mentioning. Perhaps if you try later?

thanks

I cleaned my registry and completely shutdown my machine. When I brought the
machine up, I immediately opened DBT V10.6 SR4. When I went to the Help menu,
then Check for Updates, I opened that option. I received the message that the
update function could not access the Duxbury site. I then opened Internet
Explorer V7 and immediately went to the Duxbury site. So, I tried the Check
for Updates function again while I had the home page of the Duxbury site
opened. I received the same error. Perhaps I will paste the error below.

Error
graphic 683 The automatic update check failed to connect to Duxbury's web
site. Please check your internet connection and try again.
OK

There's the error. I could send you a copy of my About option to prove that I
have V10.6 SR4 if that would be of any help in resolving the problem.
