Hi Michael,

I’m sorry to be negative here, but as Omnipage Professional is now up
to Version 17 (and even V14 goes back to 2006), this might be a rather
tricky issue to resolve.

George.

Thanks for writing, George.

The main scanning software is OmniPage Pro, version 10. I don't know
about now, but back when they switched to version 11, we started
having problems at school so went back to 10.

Lately, I have been using the Acquire Text option a lot--Duxbury does
a very good job of recognizing text.

This didn't happen until we installed version 10.7 of Duxbury. Before
that, we were using 10.4.

Michael

        Hi Michael,

What scanning software are you using?

It’s not a problem I’ve heard of, and sounds most unusual.

        George.

        Anybody else experience this:

The Acquire Text option does not appear under the File Menu
unless I first click on anything on the Help Menu--that's all: just
click on a Help item and close it again.

It's only a small nuisance, but I want to know why it happens.

        Michael
