Hi Susan, The Omega is right under 500 pounds - I really like it! My mares are 15 and 8 yrs of age. We have competed HDT, CDE and ADT's and I hope to do more when time and money allow! Someday I might even get out of training level - my fjords do know more than I do. It's the whole memory issue that has me stymied - I'm directionally challenged. But that is what keeps it exciting, to always try and better oneself isn't it? I do so love driving them as pairs. I have one of the calendars where you picture is up for July. Do you know how much the Omega's weigh? I've been real happy with my Dartmoor. I beat it up pretty bad on our washboard roads but clean it up and show with it at CDE's. The biggest damage it gets is getting scrapes while in the trailer. My older mare is 14 and a daughter of Sivert out of a 1st premie mare. I got her four years ago and we're showing at advanced in ADT's. I haven't travelled out of state to an advanced CDE yet. My new filly is 3 by Olivia Wantanabe's Peppertree's Christian out of Karen McCarthy's Alycia (Sven). She had been ridden about four times before I bought her last week. I haven't started a driving horse from ground driving before so I keep having to remind myself to have patience. This new filly is very pushy with her head while bridling, standing at her head etc. Do you compete with your pair?
