Just to keep the record straight. You have not missed anything. There have
not been any rule modifications for gaited horses. A trot is still one of the
required gaits in CDE's. HOWEVER, having said that, some events have offered a
class entirely for gaited horses, who then were all on the same level competing
against each other. Also sometimes gaited horses compete even in a regular
class and just accept the deductions.
