Traditional draft horse rules and classes > are scheduled. > > Draft turnouts in the carriage driving portion of the show will be > required to follow techniques traditional to carriage driving i.e. > gaits of walk, slow trot working trot; whips required by all drivers, > grooms required with multiple hitches, etc. > As stated earlier, this will be an informal show but we encourage > entrants to use this opportunity to learn and enjoy. The draft horse > show will follow traditional draft horse rules i.e. gaits of walk and > working trot for cart and hitch classes, walk and slow trot for farm and > pleasure classes. Whips required for cart and team classes; and > business, church, or school attire required in hitch classes, etc. > Traditionally, carriage classes use only one turnout (horse and vehicle) > for the entire show while draft shows have horse and harness changes for > each class.
