Hi Peter,
This was transcribed from a Marriage register back in, I think, the
1970's by an archivist named Laskey who had access to old church
registers. The old parsons and priests often used their own form of
shorthand to record events within their parish. I have used the "dot
dot" as he did to indicate "Ditto above". On the diagonal is a note to
himself. "To Ords in Vol III" It is contained in a micro film held in
the Battye Library 3754A. There seems to have been a heading, hence
the "above"s after the names of the Bride and Groom.
