Hi Sharon,
To be honest if your computer isn't displaying bad habits like rebooting, blue
screening or other random things like that, I would ignore them. The catalyst
drivers are generally tweaked for improvements across games or resolutions but
you don't need to do every update that comes out.
Pretty sure you can go into the options and turn off check for updates (right
click on the catalyst icon on the task bar near your clock(at a guess))
Generally video driver updates are minor and it's more around all that other
junk software or improving the graphic responses to games.
Windows updates are different and often have security updates that I would
recommend applying however even that is not always the case.
Cheers,
Cully

Hi All,
A question for those who understand
something about computers. Due to constantly going over my download limit I************************************************************
set my computer to notify me of updates rather than automatically update. I
have a HP Compaq computer and run Windows 10. I keep getting notificatations
for updates for AMD Catalist Converter software. I have been ignoring these
updates because every time I do update I get a whole lot of new icons appear
for games, music, movies, videos, news etc. I don't play games, watch movies,
play music. If I did I would probably reach my download limit in the first
hour. Can anyone tell me if there is anything important on these updates
besides games etc. and is it necessary to do these updates.
Thanks
Sharon
