ATM my great nephews partner has the same surname as my dad’s brothers first
wife, so will interesting to see if they turn out to be 4th, 5th cousins J

LOL Sort of like my connection to them as well .. my brother-in-law's
step-mother's maternal grand-mother was a Caporn - Helena Mena Caporn, daughter
of Edward & Hannah (nee Wansbrough). As you say, they twist and turn and all
of a sudden you have second-cousins marrying cos they didn't know they were 2nd
cousins! John's brother & our sister-in-law are a case in point!
