I am trying to find out more about my father’s amateur boxing days. He boxed
for his school (CBC Kalgoorlie) pre 1919 and I have a couple of newspaper
notices about his prowess, but according to my mother, he continued to box,
quite successfully, when he moved to Perth. Infortunately, he fought under an
alias and no surviving members of my family know what this was. Apparently,
boxing was not a subject considered suitable for women and children!
Does anyone know of an archive of boxing records anywhere, or who I might
contact to pursue my enquiries (I came upon your name on a message board ca
2000, Rob, dealing with a similar query....did you ever find out more?).
