[dokuwiki] how to change the sender email address when using the notification?

Hi,
Is there a way to change the sender email address when using the notification?
What I'm trying to do is whenever a user (doesn't have to be admin) modifies
the content, I want to have the "modifier's" email in the sender field. Is
this possible? I tried the patch by "Mike Frysinger" <vapier@xxxxxxxxxx> but
it didn't work for me.
