[dokuwiki] Wiki page updates by script

Hi,

It is quite easy to update the wiki source files by script, but all the nice 
features of DokuWiki like history, update the indexer, changelog,... are of 
course "not working".

I'm searching now for a way to update the wikipages by script but still have 
all the features of DokuWiki as if a user has updated a page. 
Currently I only see a indirect solution to use some perl script that emulates 
a wiki user.

My question is now, is there a smarter way to achieve the above or even better 
has already someone a script who does the trick?
