There's a lot of pages in the documentation for dokuwiki itself which contain information about past releases -- the caching page, for instance: http://wiki.splitbrain.org/wiki:caching?s=cache says "XHTML cache data is placed in data/_cache/xhtml, Instruction cache files are located in data/_cache/instructions. In dokuwiki Release 2005-09-22a, the above locations seemed to have changed. The XHTML and instructional cache are no longer in seperate directories but seperate files located in data/cache/* 3). The files end in .xhtml, .i, and an additional .feed." It seems to me as if the documentation should say "XHTML is in .xhtml files, instruction cache is in .i files. In versions before 09-22a... " so that the first thing you see is the accurate current description, but the older information is still there if people need it. There's similar sorts of confusion for (for instance) the hierarchical breadcrumbs stuff -- http://wiki.splitbrain.org/wiki:tips:hierarchicalbreadcrumbs Says "this is already included in the 2005-07-13 release"... (and still needs more correction, because now it's a config option). But again, it seems like it should say "See [[config]] for how to do this. For versions older than 2006-03-06, uncomment tpl_youarehere. For versions older than 2005-07-13, see below", ie the default for the dokuwiki wiki is that every page first describes the most recent release, and then goes on to explain exceptions for older versions. Does anyone else agree? I don't want to start "tidying things up" if it's meant to be the way it is at the moment.. -- dan -- DokuWiki mailing list - more info at http://wiki.splitbrain.org/wiki:mailinglist
