[dokuwiki] Always get the error message "User name or password are wrong"

Hi,
I recently upgraded to the latest DokuWiki version, and ever since then, my
(anonymous!) users get the error message about wrong username or password:
  http://www.fam.tuwien.ac.at/~reinhold/temp/DokuWiki_WrongUsername.jpg

The wiki is password-protected via a .htaccess file, but my DokuWiki
installation itself does not have any login restrictions (i.e. anonymous
viewing/editing is allowed as long as you get to the site using the correct
password for http basic authentification). So there should be no check for
username/password anyway unless the user manually logs in to DokuWiki using
his/her custom account.

What do I need to do to get rid of the warning?

Cheers,
Reinhold
