a.. New RamTurbo Release
New RamTurbo Release
RamTurbo version 2.8 has been released 3/9/2004.
Changes/Additions for RamTurbo include:
Changed the autorecover RAM every x minutes to every x seconds in order
to allow a finer granularity. Added the ability to disable autorecover from the
tray icon menu, main dialog, and the File menu. Added additional RAM recovery
options to the tray icon menu that allows you to recover RAM in increments of
your choosing. The RamTurbo icon now shows it's disabled status differently in
the tray with a red dot in the upper right hand corner of the icon instead of
an X'ed out RAM chip as previously. Fixed the downloader where RamTurbo asks
you if you want to download the latest update for the CompUSA versions. It will
now download the proper version of RamTurbo.
Updating to the new release:
Uninstall any previous version of RamTurbo, download and install version
2.8 from our website. If you purchased RamTurbo from CompUSA, you need to
download and install the CompUSA version. The CompUSA version only applies to
people who have purchased RamTurbo from CompUSA.
Activating the new version:
Go to the Help menu of RamTurbo. Select "Register RamTurbo". You will see
the registration screen. Enter your serial number from the last registration
you received and click the Activate button.
If you are updating a CompUSA version, you will need to enter the serial
number which is included in your CD package.
