Linda,
Hope Tom is feeling better! Those winds were really a mess.
We will not be able to attend the meeting on Friday. We have to finish and
test 30 color readers that have already been sold. They will arrive from
our supplier on Friday hopefully. We have contracted to make 500, and the
first 100 will come in on Friday. Please take care and great work you are
doing with the Guide dogs.

Hello everyone Hope everyone
has had a blessed week. For me, I guess it was blessed with lessons of life
which sometimes can be pretty hard. In other words, I had a week from hell,
but hope to take whatever lessons God has for me and learn them.
Tom has been very sick, almost to the point of hospitalization with a
horrible horrible lung infection. He is recovering and hopefully will
continue and not relapse.
Meanwhile work has been hectic as I didn't realize how sick he was and so
part of my job is to stay in the dorm while grads are there. All of us share
that duty. So Tom was getting sicker and I was in he dorm and couldn't get
home and what made it worse was the wind.
Then on top of all of that Tom while sick had to let go of the desert blind
driver because he broke a company rule. He was let g immediately. So I'm
ready to move on and forward. That brings me to the next point is that I
won't be able to attend this month's meeting. I will be working with the
next GDD class which is a rather large one for us. I will also be doing an
inservice for some student nurses while there.
I haven't heard from Christina as for the price of the candy so that we can
get her the money as we previously talked about. Tom will be there on Friday
if he continues to recover, and he's not contagious.
The next thing is that I'm going to pass along an email from Laurie Fisher.
I would love to call everyone, but don't have the time and frankly I'm
already tired and emotionally drained and the class and month has only just
begun.
Anyway, this email is regarding Anabel's performance. Please please as we
worked so hard to make things better, respond to it with your comments. I
guess she has been assigned to another office.
I do have Raul's comments here and will pass them along to her.
Also, there is a state independent living Council meeting with public
comment happening on Tuesday. I will pass that here tomorrow as I can't get
to my work email right now. This is a board that funds things like rehab and
community access which both are lacking here in Palm Desert. Actually I
think this might be a better way to get things done. It has occurred to me
that rehab doesn't want to turn on itself. I will pass this on to Judy as
well.
I want to publicly thank John or his generosity for the benefit concert.
