but does linux unzip know that it should create a symbolic link
instead of just extracting the ini-file?

and do e.g. pkunzip or winzip know that they should create a shortcut
rather than an ini-file?

this would be quite incompatible with other zip programs (and could
lead to some kind of "lossy" zip compression)...

maybe the file comment fields could get used to store additional
information for .lnk files (so a special-shortcuts aware zipper using
delphi zip could recreate the shortcut instead of extracting the
original one, and other unzippers wouldn't care about it and
extract the original .lnk file))?
