be sure to uncheck the x ray function in the global options.
now, in the insert synth dialog you can select if you want to create midi an
audio tracks and if you want to open synth rack or synth properties.
if you select to open the synth properties yu can hit f4 to access the tts
output functions.
but you don't need it for changing sounds. when you are in the midi track
you have to assign a midi channel for the patches to change. also select a
bank and patch because the tts has many banks.you can hit the letter p to
open the track properties and change bank, patch from there and you can play
the sounds while you are in that dialog, you also have a patch browser that
lets you type an instrument and it will list all patches with that name and
you can play them while arrowing through the list.
i hope this helps.

Subject: [ddots-l] tts 1 problem

Hi all,
I installed windows Jaws 8 Sonar and CT 6.2 on a brand new system.
When I go to insert menu and enter on soft synths and choose Cakewalk tts 1,
a dialog windows comes up that contains 9 check boxes.
I am not familiar with this. what is the desired settings for this?
When I do not change anything and go to the ok button and pres enter on it
closes that window and my erow keys become dysfunctional. Jaws does not say
anything.
I use the jaws curser to see what is there and it seems the window has lots
of graphics and numbers.
Finally I close that by ctrl f4and get back in to sonar tracks. I go to
patches in the track pane to change the sounds. It only contains numbers in
sted of the name of the instruments.
The previous version I used was sonar 4 and this was not the case.
What do you suggest me to do for these problems?
Do you think that I did not configure something correctly in sonar or is it
something ells?
Thanks

Caglar
