It doesn't sound good, like a processor or mother board problem.  Did you try 
setting the bias to it's default settings?  You'll need sighted assistance for 
this but there should be a "load defaults" button in the main screen of your 
bias setup.

  Hi.  I had two sighted people look at it.  We looked at ms config and did 
loads of other stuff with no success.  I ran disk defrag, disk cleanup, reg 
scrub, no adware, Symantec, and I also tried running the machine with all 
hardware and internet connection unplugged.  It didn't make much difference.  
It happens with every application, when running jaws or not.  And, my machine 
is no longer under warranty.
