Richard,
sounds like you have a stuck Alt, Ctrl, or shift key. Happens with JAWS once
in a while.
Press both alt keys left/right/left/right, etc. several times. Do the same
for the tow Ctrl keys and then for the shift keys. This sometimes helps to
unstick them.
