There's no harm in letting the old definition file in Sonar.
Simply reassign your new instrument definition file usingSonar's "options".
Instrument in the usual way.
You'll be good to go.

I posted this question a couple days ago and haven't heard a response. How do
I completely delete an instrument definition file out of sonar? I have an
updated version to the file, and I'd rather delete the old one before importing
the new one in there.
