The FastTracks have separate volume controls for the main and headphones outputs. It sounds like the opposite effect, such that when the headphones are plugged in the mains should stop working, and when the headphones are unplugged he speakers work again. Though to be honest, in most audio interfaces both headphones and mains work independently of each other, so that you can hear your main mix on the mains, while somebody else in the recording room or booth etc can hear themselves through the headphones. Did you check for any settings or switches etc? How about something in the control panel? Does the manual mention anything regarding this behaviour? I purchased this sound card last night and have my keyboard hooked up correctly. The problem I'm having is that if I plug in a set of external monitors to the output quarter inch jacks on the back of the unit, the headphones don't work. If I unplug the speakers, I can hear sound through the headphones. This seems quite strange. Any thoughts? Thanks for the help. Scott PLEASE READ THIS FOOTER AT LEAST ONCE!
