Sean, Once you've used directixer on a VST plugin or softsynth you can use
it as a normal DXI in sonar. Also most plugins can be controlled in real
time by remote controlling the parameters in the track inspector. Its worth
spending some time hunting the web for plugins that work this way. Some of
the free plugins that people write for fun can be very useful.
If you have some specific types of plugins in mind I may be able to point
you in the right direction.
Hope this helps, Dan

** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:-Dear Hr,
I read the information on the website of the link you sent. I understand that it can convert VST into DirectX and I understand that you can view and change parameters, but this is out side of Sonar, right?! So am I to understand that once the changes are made then it can be saved as a preset? If so, that's cool but still not real-time.
Producing for clients calls for quick, efficient engineering. I have been really trying to find plug-ins that are accessible for us like the Clone Ensemble. There must be someone out there that will script for the pluggins! Access to Sonar is a real God send, but then from there is where the rubber meets the road.
Thanks for all of your time,
Sean
