Are you sure the Mackies are discontinued? the other day when I
shopped around I still saw some of them in the shops, but it was maybe
old stock they still had around, if you really want them again you
should maybe ask Mackie themselves or different shops, they maybe
still have a pair lying around.
I find the Adam a7x a little on the crisp and bright side but this
obviously depends on the music you use it for and your personal taste.
Also look at the KRK VXT 8, they are about the same price as the
Adams, I personally think they have better tighter bass responce and
also a smoother high end.
