The play and record buffer settings don't need to match anything else. Just commenting that they are a bit low. Should the play and record buffer sizes match the sample bit rate? Example, if I set the playback and record buffer size set at 256 in sonar, should i have the sample bit set at 256 in the acio pannel as well? Thanks. ----- Original Message ----- From: Phil Muir <mailto:info@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, December 12, 2010 9:17 AM Subject: [ddots-l] Re: latency problem Hmm, always found 128 to be a wee bit low. Try 256 instead. I'm getting latency with all my softsynths for some reason. I have all the settings, (buffer sizes,) both in the acio pannel and in the sonar advanced audio menu set low. In the acio pannel i ahve the sample buffer size set to 64, and in sonar audio advanced menu i have the buffer play and record set at 128. Can anyone think of anything else that might be causing latency? Thank you. OMAR BINNO WEBSITE: www.omarbinno.com AIM: LOD1116 SKYPE: obinno1
