Phil,

Many thanks. I may just go the route of switching between versions of JAWS for
using Sonar 7. Do you know of anyone who has written a batch file in XP that
will do this switching? I had one in Windows 98SE that worked fine for CWPA but
I can't get the same commands to work now with Sonar.

  Phil,

I'm getting conflicted feedback. Are you saying that you have used Sonar 7
and CT 7 with JAWS 10 and that they work?

Phil replied: yes. However, I also stated that after you install Jaws 10,
the CT installer for Sonar 7 will only install scripts into Jaws 10 and not any
other version of Jaws that is on your system.

Dave wrote: I thing there has been some dilution of the original message.

Dancing Dots is adamant that CT 7 scripts in JAWS 10 will be "broken scripts"
and only about 50% of Sonar 7 functionality will remain with that combination.

Phil replied: not seeing that here but, haven't performed a lot of testing on
that particular combination. On the other hand, they support the product so,
if that's what they are saying then, go with that as they sell and support the
product.

Dave, it's not necessarily complex, it's just that I haven't tried what
your suggesting. I would try installing Jaws 10 and migrating the scripts
first and see what happens. Failing that, you could run the installer as I
did. I have Jaws 8 9 and 10 on my system however, the installer only saw Jaws
10. So, I copied all of the files from my Jaws 10 install, including the
CT.ini but CT thought it wasn't authorised in Jaws 8 and 9. Very strange.

        Phil,

Okay, I see it's likely more complex. If you've done it yourself, how
did you manage to overcome the authorization issue?

Hmm, not sure if that will migrate your CT authorisation over. You
could try it and see what happens.

            Phil,

Since I haven't installed JAWS 10 yet, and using JAWS 9 with CT7,
would you recommend that I simply use the JAWS merge utility to import all the
CT scripts to JAWS 10 and that should do it?

            Dave

CT 7 does seem to work fine with Jaws 10. The CT installer deals
with it in a bit of a funky way though. Meaning that when you install CT for
Sonar 7 under Jaws 10, and if you have other versions of Jaws installed then,
CT won't let you install into them. They just don't appear as an option in the
installer.

                Hello,

You may have missed my earlier posting:

I've been told by Dancing Dots that CT for Sonar 7 will not
work with JAWS 10 and that it's necessary to purchase CT version 8, and by
necessity Sonar
                8. Anyone else had any experience with JAWS 10 and CT version 7
or older?

Check their web site on Sonar 8. CT 8 is not yet done.

                Dave

I think you can just perform a quote merge unquote, and any
previous scripts/whatever will automatically be transferred in to your new
install...

                    Hello,

I just got my jaws 10 upgrade and will install it today.
Will CT automatically get installed in the new version of jaws, or will i have
to reinstall that and hsc?

                    Thanks.
