Phil,
Many thanks. I may just go the route of switching between versions of JAWS for
using Sonar 7. Do you know of anyone who has written a batch file in XP that
will do this switching? I had one in Windows 98SE that worked fine for CWPA but
I can't get the same commands to work now with Sonar.

Phil replied: yes. However, I also stated that after you install Jaws 10,
the CT installer for Sonar 7 will only install scripts into Jaws 10 and not any

Dancing Dots is adamant that CT 7 scripts in JAWS 10 will be "broken scripts"
and only about 50% of Sonar 7 functionality will remain with that combination.
Phil replied: not seeing that here but, haven't performed a lot of testing on
that particular combination. On the other hand, they support the product so,
if that's what they are saying then, go with that as they sell and support the
product.

Dave, it's not necessarily complex, it's just that I haven't tried what
your suggesting. I would try installing Jaws 10 and migrating the scripts
first and see what happens. Failing that, you could run the installer as I
did. I have Jaws 8 9 and 10 on my system however, the installer only saw Jaws
10. So, I copied all of the files from my Jaws 10 install, including the
CT.ini but CT thought it wasn't authorised in Jaws 8 and 9. Very strange.

Since I haven't installed JAWS 10 yet, and using JAWS 9 with CT7,
would you recommend that I simply use the JAWS merge utility to import all the
CT scripts to JAWS 10 and that should do it?

CT 7 does seem to work fine with Jaws 10. The CT installer deals
with it in a bit of a funky way though. Meaning that when you install CT for
Sonar 7 under Jaws 10, and if you have other versions of Jaws installed then,
CT won't let you install into them. They just don't appear as an option in the
installer.

work with JAWS 10 and that it's necessary to purchase CT version 8, and by
necessity Sonar
