Hi Brian, I'm not quite sure what's happening to your projects as no matter what template is on set up, when you press alt O and then shift tab once to put you in file name, arrow down through your file names. When pressing enter on the file name you want all the routing and tracks from that file should be there exactly how you saved them. Have you been saving in I think it's called, Sonar Projects? That will save all the info you need both midi and audio. If I'm slightly miss leading here, will one of you other guys chime in? Good luck with your gig. Have you ever done that before? ----- Original Message ----- From: Mike Christer To: ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, December 18, 2010 9:24 AM Subject: [ddots-l] Re: changing default template that comes up when sonar loads I'm not at my DAW right now, so I can't check, but... When you go to save the template, look in the list of quote save as type options unquote, and see if there's anything relevant in there? I can't remember off the top of my head, as this isn't something I usually do... l8r ----- Original Message ----- From: Brian Howerton To: ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, December 18, 2010 2:13 PM Subject: [ddots-l] Re: changing default template that comes up when sonar loads Mike, That worked but it didn't fix the problem that I am having like I thought it would. When I load in a midi file, (this was before I changed the template to the TTS1 template), so I load in a midi file and then I insert an instance of TTS1 and route all the midi tracks to that, then it will play and the file will play fine. However, when I try to do a save as with those changes made and re-open that file that I did a save as on, it doesn't save my routing changes and the file doesn't play again. So when I open up a midi project, I have to insert an instance of tts1 and then route all the midi tracks to it every time before it will play. I'm trying to figure out a way to get these changes to save with each song, because I am getting ready for a gig tonight and I really don't want to have to load each song file up and then have to re-route everything to make it play properly because that would mean it would be about 2 minutes between each song. I thought changing the template to the tts1 template would work and fix this problem. Any suggestions? Now, make any changes you require, like, for instance, FX you typically use on Auxiliary busses etc. & certain midi trax with any soft synths you might typically use. Now, save the template as the folowing: Note: (You must write the file name verbatim!) Normal.cwt And, save it in the same folder you got the AAA template from. Now, the "customized" template will load every time you click on the Sonar icon... l8r ----- Original Message ----- From: Brian Howerton To: ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, December 18, 2010 1:04 PM Subject: [ddots-l] changing default template that comes up when sonar loads Hello all, Can someone inform me of how to change the default template that comes with when sonar loads?
