Well,
I havn't used the second piece of gear you are using but I have used the
first and I absolutely love the preamp on the saffire. Great tone! YOu can
definitely tell that they are focusright pre's. I couldn't be any happier!
For example with vocals, it just makes them sound crystal clear. Hope this
helps a little.

Hi I want some opinions on recording interface pre amps. I'm looking
at the focusrite safire pro40 and the Presonus firestudio tube. I know
the specs of these but want to know which has the best pre amps. Their
pre amp specs are very simular but I've learned in the past few years
that specs is one thing but opinions from people actually using the
gear is a total different story.
