Which version of Cake Talking are you trying to do this in?

Subject: [ddots-l] The Loop Construction view

Hi everyone's,

I have a question about the
Loop Construction view. I have to do a couple things on there. But so far it
is not accessible. This is what I need to do.

extract some one-measure musical phrases (use SNAP to GRID at a full
measure) and copy them to a new track. Double-click your extracted clip to
open it in the Loop Construction window. (It may help to adjust the tempo to
something you're comfortable with for the best audio quality and the least
amount of stretching.) Set the number of beats to 4 and the beat division
(labeled as Slices) to 8. Also, try "other" settings to experience what
happens when you enter the wrong values, because you'll likely hear lots of
time stretching with certain settings! You could also create a few more
loops from any of your own audio files.
