Hi
Thanks for the feedback. Spoke to Bill last night and tried “shift Z” it
sorted the problem. Feel a bit stupid but there you go! Thanks for the help.

If you're having trouble locating the local off menu then another solution
would be to simply turn down the master volume of your keyboard this usually
helps too.
However in most cases you do need to go and turn the local to off

Hi, Richard,
Glad to see you are still going strong with CakeTalking and SONAR.
It may be that you need to send what is called a “local-off” message to your
keyboard. If your keyboard makes sounds of its own when not connected to a PC,
you will want to set local off when triggering soft synthes using SONAR.
Again, from what you describe, I think that is the solution.
If your keyboard is powered up and attached to your PC before you launch SONAR,
it may be smart enough to receive and process a local-off message that SONAR
sends to it on start up. If not, you will need to consult the user manual of
your particular keyboard to learn the keystrokes required to set local off
mode. These are keystrokes you make on the musical keyboard itself, not on
your PC keyboard. You should find it under the section of the user manual
dedicated to its MIDI implementation.

Bill

Subject: [ddots-l] TTS1
Hi all
A wee bit of a problem and would welcome any help.
My soft synth is TTS1. Was putting down a drum track with no problems. Wanted
to change to piano on a different track. The sound changes but the drums still
remain as well. No matter what instrument I pick when I go to play a note with
the piano sound for example it is mixed in with the relevant drum or percussion
instrument as well.
Any advice?
