With the advances of ProTools Accessibility - although not completely
there yet, I recommend ProTools 9 on a MAC with out a doubt if you
want to use a Mac specifically.

There is a group of blind users under Google Mail - sorry don't
remember the exact name of the group.  Bryan Smart also has quite a
bit of info.
