I can get the RealGuitar demo to work fine in StandAlone mode(outside of sonar), but I can't seem to get anywhere with it as a softsynth in sonar. Here's what I've done thus far.
1 wrapped it with directizer, then inserted that wrapped synth from the insert softsynth menu(not the VST submenu). Set all the correct input & output settings. The demo installed OK, because the demo version annoying beep sounded every 30 secs or so as they said it would, but wouldn't play either from the keyboard, or from track playback.
2) Tried standalone mode to see what gives, and that wouldn't work so I deleted the wrapped plug from directizer and rebooted and standalone worked again.
3) after deleting wrapped plug in directizer, opened sonar to make sure it was gone, and, noticed that RealGuitar was in the softsynth menu under its factory name--must have been put there by RealGuitar installation. Tried that softsynth(unwrapped) but still no go.
4) used VST wizard to wrap RealGuitar, then located and inserted it from the VST submenu of insert|softsynth, but still nothing. This time, annoying demo beep wasn't there either.
Please help--I've tried everything I know(at least with my current brain cell function)
