Oh no I don't feel this way at all, I believe very much in the fellow that's gonna hep me. It's just that he wants to seriously educate me, so I have to be prepared before I take the plung. I think he went and did all the leg work that I could possibly do with sighted help and everything and I honestly think it'll be woth the money when I do sit down with him, with my recording situation ready to go. This guy is blind too, so he will be coming at it from just where I need to be. My only problem is that his memory is much larger than mine, and he wants to bassically do an info dump lol, which I don't think I'm quite prepared to receive till I get the recorder going. I just wanted a little very basic instruction that says, Here Greg, when you turn on your machine, the first thing you to to record a song is, here's the very next thing you do after recording and saving the first track, and then here's what how you save it and call it back up. ----- Original Message ----- From: Cameron To: ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, March 04, 2011 11:22 AM Subject: [ddots-l] Re: Motif info Hi. Wow. Ninety five dollars an hour? Are they smoking crack? Or, do they feel the need to add a few inches to their golden pedestal and require the funds to complete such a project. Most dealers at least offer a limited amount of free or reasonably priced tech support to their customers, especially when you buy a product that costs over a couple grand. Ninety five dollars an hour. I'd like to see the qualifications of every single person on their tech support team. Sorry to rant but I hate seeing peple getting taken advantage of. Please write me off list with the name of the company so I can be sure not to give them any business. Thanks, Cameron. I'd like to subscribe to that. I'm looking also to have a phone chat with anyone who could help me get started with sequencing. The folks who sold it to me need 95 dollars per hour for tech support, and they reccomend that I record the session, which of course is the right idea. I'm gonna get set up soon to do that but in the mean time I was hoping to just talk a few basics with someone if someone might have the time.
