Hey thanks allot. I switched drivers and that seemed to do the trick. I really appreciate all the help. ----- Original Message ----- From: Omar Binno To: ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, November 15, 2009 8:04 AM Subject: [ddots-l] Re: Latency issues That depends on your audio interface. Some work better with wdm, and others work better with asio. If your interface doesn't specify a preference, a lot of users prefer using asio. ----- Original Message ----- From: Todd Houghton To: ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, November 15, 2009 10:52 AM Subject: [ddots-l] Re: Latency issues Mike. Thanks. Could you tell me what the criteria are for using one or the other drivers? ----- Original Message ----- From: Mike C To: ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, November 15, 2009 5:56 AM Subject: [ddots-l] Re: Latency issues if you are using WDM mode remember to set your buffer to at least 2 if possible, under the audio dialogue box in the general page. If you are using Asio, then you'll need to set the buffer under the audio's control panel to at least 128, or 96 if possible. Remember that 64 bit plug ins will definatly cause a latency issue in some cases. Hope this helps. I have been using an external sound module for years and just recently attempted to use the Tats soft synth in Sonar 7. When I play a note on the keyboard, the latency is extreme making it impossible to record. I'm using a Tascam 1641 audio midi USB 2 interface. Is there some kind of tweaking I can do here?
