is the Motu a full audio interface connected via firewire or USB?
Are you using ASIO drivers?
What are your buffer/latency settings?

The latency is with the MOTU 8Pre, vocal input. The response is really slow. For example, I made a couple midi tracks and attempted to sing through the MOTU; there is a horrible delay!

Instrument defenitions won't help at all with latency, instrument definitions is a midi thing. Have you looked on yamahasynth.com? Or google cakewalk instrument definitions for motif rack. Regarding your latency, what is the problem, the sounds take to long to come back after you press a key? What are your system specs?

Subject: [ddots-l] InstrumentDefinitions?

I am using Windows 7, JAWS 12, Sonar 8.5 and CakeTalking 8.5. Need instrument definitions for Motu 8PRE and MotifRack (the original). Having latency problems with the Motu 8PRE; thinking instrument definition may be helpful with finding the sollution.
