Why not save the file as a MIDI file from the Motif and then open up in Sonar?

Hi every one.
Anyone out there with Yamaha Motif FX6/7/or 8?
Help , greatly appreciated.
In ‘song mode”, I’m Trying to transfer song created on Motif XF6 to sonar, via
USB & Or Midi.
All channels are recorded, and heard except drum channel, which on Motif is
channel 1, when listening back to the recorded tracks in sonar, using Motif as
the sound source.
My Settings in Sonar Track Properties:
In: motifXF omni
Out: motifXF-1
Channel =none=default
Anyone has a solution?
