Hello everyone,

My apologies, I should of made that clear in the original message, Shawn's
correct, just a wave file of the mix will do, it can be imported into Sonar,
and the finished tracks can be exported as 24/44.1 wav files and sent via ftp,
yousendit.com, or Dropbox. I have used yousendit.com plenty in the past for
this type of stuff, and it works fine, any of those others are fine as well.

On a side note, I'm by no means a technical expert, but have had very bad
results in the past when tracking to MP3's, seem to remember having some major
timing issues when putting tracks recorded to MP3's back into projects in
ProTools, Logic, and Sonar. After a very bad experience tracking to a MP3 five
years ago, I have found .wav or .aif files to be the easiest way to go when
doing remote tracking.

Thanks for all the responses, I'll contact each of you off list today, and
we'll take it from there.

Steve

  To all interested:

FYI, all you need is an MP3 of the song from beginning to end. Import it to
a new project, and then just play your parts. Lastly, export your track/tracks
to .wav, and send them via SendSpace.com. It's free up to 5 files at 300 megs
each per send. You don't need the entire project.

Same hear! Bundle it up and hit us up with a email! Even if you have drop
box! That's cool!

Honestly, the sample project Ment to be in the sonar folder was pretty good
that that guy did, and I so need to put that back on here.

    Hello steve!

I would like to listen to the tune and see if I can have a go on it, do you
use Cakewalk bundle formats? if so, just contact me off list, and we can have a
discussion on it if you like.

      Hello,

This is off topic, but thought I'd throw this out here first...

I'm looking for a guitarist to due a remote track on a tune of mine. The
tune is currently arranged for piano/keys, but would like to take it in another
direction featuring more guitar.

If interested, here's what I'm looking for:

*Cool attitude, and willingness to track multiple guitar parts.

      *Good tone

      * The ability to due the tracking on your end, and get it back to me
using ftp.,

      * An understanding of basic music theory, soloing, and comping

*Good feel/timing, some experience playing R&B, rock, reggae, and a
little jazz fusion

      * The ability to record both acoustic and electric guitars.

      About the tune:

The tune is slightly in the Steely Dannish style, it is in 4/4, and
consists of mostly 7th chords in the harmony (major, minor, and domanant with a
few extensions.) The tune was selected as track 1 on the Visionary Media
Group's "Songs About Blindness" CD, but that Cd is no longer scheduled to be
released. The cut on that CD had a female vocalist on it, the vocals will be
redone, and the tune is going to be reworked with some different
instrumentation for another release later this fall. Overall, it's a simple
tune, and for the right player, will be an easy way to make some extra cash.

If interested, please let me know, and we can talk further off list. If
not, feel free to pass this along to any other blind music list it might be of
interest to. Keeping with the VMC's "Songs About Blindness" theme, I'd like to
offer this one first to someone visually impaired before putting it out there
for everyone else in my network of players.

      Thanks,

      Steve
