It is an effect. To control it through MIDI, you'll need to use the plug-in manager and select it, go to its properties, and set it as a synth (there's a configure as synth box). Then it will show up as a synth. If you can't find it under the vst effects, make sure it is in the vstPlugIns folder under the cakewalk folder in program files.

Hi! I read quite a long time ago that some folks here are using Gsnap for autotuning. How accessable is it? Is it worth trying at all?

I decided to give it a try but it wasn't recognized by Sonar at all.
This never happened to me before. It didn't appear in the synth rack or among the audio effects, and it's in the same folder as my other plugins that Sonar finds perfectly. I rescaned failed plugins but nothing changed. I'm running the 64 bit version of Sonar and at first I installed the 64 bit version of Gsnap. But since it didn't work, I uninstalled it and tried the 32 bit version. It was installed in the same folder as before, but still Sonar doesn't recognize it at all.
Any ideas on what happened? Is there anything I should try?

Cheers /Henrik
