There yahoo discussion board is gone pretty much dead. I'm on that board and there's no traffic at all. Just FYI. Tim brought this to my attention last night after he recieved an e mail from Spectrasonics. They're ovviously pointing VI musicians interested in their products towards the HSC sets I've done for Omnisphere, Trilian and Stylus RMX. It puzzles me a little, as I haven't had any contact with Spectrasonics for 18 months or so. Initially I asked if they would link to www.vipaudioaccess.com so VIP's would be aware there was a solution to accessing their products, but, at the time, they weren't interested, as I guess the last thing they wanted was to endorse or potentially be associated with a 3rd party product. Something has changed...and perhaps it's positive feedback they've recieved or it's because of the stability of the sets...and they're not just a "get by" solution, who knows, but as Tim said, this is a positive step forward, as they are now obviously taking this solution seriously and maybe, just maybe they are more aware of what needs to be done to make their products more accessible out of the box. If not, then this small association is a step in the right direction. On a side note, there are some developers out there who are all for supporting us, promoting us and doing all they can. This doesn't always mean they can make wholesale changes to their products, but what it does mean is that they know what accessibility obstacles we face and they will take it on board in the future. In the meantime, the more support they recieve and the more positive feedback they get, then it's all going to make a difference. Cheers steve. P.S. Ironically, I haven't recieved such an e mail. Jus thought some of you might be intrigued that Spectrasonics Tech Support is aware that a blind person would find this interesting. Considering the utter disinterest Spectrasonics has shown in the blind community over the years, I'm truly confused.
