They are both standards that are used to write affects and softsynthes.
Steinberg developed the .VST format, and Microsoft developed the DXi one.

this only works on VST's and in order for it to work, the .VST in
question has to have given the various parameters sensible names. Note: this
won't work on any of the Sonitus stuff, as that's all .DXi. It will work on
the V-64 compressor though, as it's a .VST and the parameters for it have been
properly named.

8

        Hi,

I just downloaded ct8 and installed on my sonar 8. I inserted an effect
and went to my inspector pane. I thought it's supposed to tell me the values
instead of slider position? Is there something I need to configure to enable
this behavior?
Also, my ct keeps asking me to refresh my screen when I jump to
different columns. I checked my toolbar setting, screen resolution. Everything
seems to be set according to the manual.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It fails more than succeed
though. Except, name column seems work all the time.
        Thanks,

        Chi
