Forgive me if this is off topic; I have this production coming up, and am
desperately looking to buy sounds that I need for it, but which I currently
do not own, but I don't know who sell them, or what they're called, so I'll
try to explain by using examples. Let me know if I'm allowed to send small
attachments, then I will include those.
1. What vst instrument would give me more or less the same sound as the
Yamaha HeavenBell? I Googled and found Celestia, but it's a huge selection
of instruments, and I'm unable to listen anywhere to that specific sound, to
verify it for myself. Also, nowhere in their demos I can find any specific
reference to it.
My second question is what vst instrument would come close to that
bamboo/flute type sound thingie bands such as Enigma used on their first
album? I initially thought it to be a Shakuhachi, but according to samples I
downloaded of the Shakuhachi, it's not it.
I know various artists used that sound, especially in the 80s, like Gerry
Rafferty, Modern Talking, to name just a few.
My final question is what drum kit or kits I would need to have to give me a
similar sound to that you hear on songs such as Wild ones by Flo Rida, and
in music by e.g. Ariana Grande, it's especially the clap sound that I'm
after. Any help/suggestions/pointers would be most appreciated. Thanks so
