Tactile Tours return for their second year and are proving more popular than
ever with bookings filling fast. These tours are designed to facilitate
discovery through dialogue and touch, introducing visitors with disability to a
new experience with contemporary sculpture. Participants are taken on a guided
tour through the exhibition by experienced DADAA and Art Gallery of Western
Australia guides and encouraged to engage with a selection of sculptures
located in accessible areas along the Cottesloe beach precinct.
These tours are developed in partnership with DADAA Inc as part of Sculpture by
the Sea, Cottesloe's Access Program, an initiative supported by
Lotterywest. The one hour tours are free to attend though there is a maximum
of four beach wheelchairs are available on request for each tour.
