by DHHS.

National Disability Insurance Scheme – Community Forums
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a national program that
will provide a new way of delivering services and support for people with
permanent and significant disability in Australia. It will give people with a
disability more choice and control over the services and supports they
receive, to live the life they want and play an active role in the community.
The Victorian Government has reached a historic agreement with the
Commonwealth, securing the roll out of the NDIS across Victoria. Following
this important first step, the government will be holding community forums on
the NDIS and would like to invite all interested community members to attend.
At these forums, you will hear from Martin Foley MP, Victorian Minister for
Disability, Housing and Ageing and the National Disability Insurance Agency
about the roll out of the NDIS. There will also be an opportunity to ask
questions about the scheme.
